LEGAL STATUS
LAB-ONE INNOVATIONS is a private company, operating as a
Technological Incubator, since April 1st, 2003, within the
privatized Technological Incubators Program of the Office of the
Chief Scientist (OCS), Ministry of Industry and Trade.
Before the April 1st, 2003, LAB-ONE was known as the " NITZANIM"
incubator.
MANAGEMENT
LAB-ONE shareholders include prestigious institutional and
professional entities:
** Migdal Capital Markets - a leading underwriter whose
shareholders include The Migdal Group (the leading Israeli
insurance company) and Bearn Stearns Asset Management (NASDAQ:
BSAM)
** StageOne Ventures, one of Israel's most active seed-stage
funds, specializing in Information Communications Technology.
StageOne's main investors
include Bezeq, Israel's PTT, and the investment arm of Israel's
third largest bank, Discount Capital Market
** Tel Aviv Economic Development Authority Ltd. - a corporation
owned by the Tel Aviv-Yafo municipality, with the aim of
realizing the raw business-economic potential of the
municipality's tangible and intangible assets, for the benefit of
Tel Aviv residents and the City's active business community.
FINANCIAL STRUCTURE
LAB-ONE initially invests approximately US $700K in the project
company. StageOne is actively involved in LAB-ONE 's portfolio
from day one and is done with the aim of identifying the best
companies and continuing to support them in follow-on investment
rounds.
AREAS OF INTEREST
LAB-ONE invests in new initiatives within the Communication &
Information arenas that are based on innovative ideas and which
cater to real worldwide needs. Among LAB-ONE's fields of interest
are: IP related technologies, OSS/NMS, Mobile-Datacom, Multimedia
& Home Networking, Network Security, Next Generation optical
networking, System-on-chip, Storage & Next Generation server
arrays, etc.
