PROJECT SUMMARY
MEDIHALE is developing innovative medical devices for drug
delivery and inhalation therapy and is focused on providing cost
effective, customer oriented solutions in this changing and
growing field. The company's proprietary technology has been
applied in its first line of devices for inhalation therapy. The
Medihale initial innovative products are drug delivery solutions
for sufferers of asthma and respiratory diseases.

MARKETS
The world market for inhaled drugs to treat respiratory disease
is estimated at more than US $10 billion. In recent years there
has been an increase in the diversity of products available and
the technologies being applied in this field. The traditional CFC
based pressurized metered dose inhaler (MDI) is being
reformulated with non-CFC propellants and improved to meet
demanding new regulatory requirements, in addition to other
demands from patients and physicians. The portable inhalers are
sold in more then US $700M annually in the U.S. alone, and about
US $1.5 billion worldwide. The SVN market holds US $500M
annually, worldwide.

Increasingly, inhaled asthma drugs will be delivered by products
offering important new features such as breath-actuation, dose
counters and improved product ergonomics. Each of these is aimed
at improving patient compliance, which will make drug delivery by
this route safer and more effective.
