PROJECT SUMMARY

BACKGROUND:
A dental implant is an oral construction inserted
into either the hard or the soft tissue of the masticatory system
that functions as a tooth support for oral rehabilitation. Bone
osseointegrated implants are able to incorporate with the jawbone
and develop chemical bonding forces with the living bone cells.
They function as a hard and stiff base for the required oral
rehabilitation of the patient.

PRODUCT:
Novel Erna has developed a revolutionary dental implant
system for accurate, fast, simple and less traumatic replacement
of missing teeth. The system includes: the
implant; prosthetic components; surgical protocol, kits and
tools; training materials.

TECHNOLOGY:
The Novel Erna System features a proprietary surgical
implant site preparation technique. It allows for an exact fit of
the unique Novel Erna Implant. It can be carried out with extreme
accuracy by following a surgical protocol specific to this type
of
implant. The procedure is short, simple and safe, reducing
"chair-time" considerably.
Minimal and shallow drilling reduces bone overheating. Minimal
bone height is required, making it especially suited for shallow
jawbones. There is no risk of perforation.

MARKET
The total worldwide market value of dental implants exceeds US
$800 million and growing at the rate of over 15% per year.
The shallow jawbone market segment represents Novel Erna's niche
with a market potential starting at $145 million per year. The
ability to penetrate this market is a function of reaching,
training and certifying new end users (dental surgeons and
specializing dentists in implantation) on the Novel Erna System.

ENTREPRENEUR
Dr. Nabil Balan - D.Sc., 1983 graduate of the Lund
University in Malmo, Sweden, introduced implant technology into
his private practice in 1990 and has been active in the field of
developing advanced implant dentistry techniques for the past ten
years.

PROJECT STATUS
Novel ERNA commenced operations in the Yozmot HaEmek
Technological Incubator in March 2000. Prototypes have been
completed and parts produced for use in animal trails that are
underway. The results of these trials validate the concept,
techniques, implant and system. PCT patents pending.

COOPERATION REQUIRED
* A collaborating investor/strategic partner to support clinical
trials and market entry.
* Academic support for clinical trials and publishing of
findings.
