PROJECT SUMMARY
MEISOL LTD. is developing a new composite material for
remediation of contaminated groundwater. The Composite material
is formed by bonding nano-sized zero-valent iron (NZVI)
particles with metalloporphyrin catalysts onto a diatomite matrix
that shows catalytic activity toward different contaminants,
especially to halogenated organic compounds, that are common soil
and groundwater pollutants. This material offers many advantages
- it is environmental-friendly and may be more cost effective due
to its high efficiency, small amounts are needed for treatment
and improved physico-chemical characteristics.

PROJECT STATUS
MEISOL LTD. was set up in February 2008. The company is in the
seed stage. The seed money was received from the Office of the
Chief Scientist of the Ministry of Industry,Trade and Labour. The
company employs the Entrepreneur and will employ, from next
month, 2 chemists (Phd and Msc).
