PROJECT SUMMARY
The company develops a performance-boosting chip for wireless
access points, which improves the network's efficiency and
sharply decreases its price. The chip will be integrated into the
wireless hosting devices - wireless access points or computer
motherboards.
Using the company's innovative optimization technology, the chip
performs an on-line recalibration of several communication
parameters within the hosting devices, thus adapting them to the
changing topology and traffic features of the network. The
resulting greatly improved efficiency enables the network's owner
to save an estimated 30-50% of the network's total costs.
The improvement in the network's efficiency also acts as an
enabler for several other technologies, such as video streaming,
that currently achieve poor performance on today's wireless
networks.

TARGET MARKET
The wireless LAN market is the fastest growing segment of the
telecom market, and the number of potential annual sales is
currently approaching one billion units. The company aims to
offer the chip as an integral component of the product sold to
the end user, through a major vendor in the industry. The
real-time wireless audio and video market, also one of the
rapidly growing segments, is expected to reach multi billion
dollars in revenues within the coming 5 years. The company
intends to offer its product as an enabler component for future
wireless networks, which will be required to offer maximum
support for such services.

PROJECT STATUS
The project was launched on February 2005. The company is
currently implementing the product using OPNET - the leading
networks' simulation environment. However, the basic elements of
the technology utilized were already tested to function as
excepted. Patents filing is in process.

COOPERATION REQUIRED
The company seeks an alliance with a strategic partner in the
field, as well as joint venture capital. An operator of public
wireless networks is also needed, which will assist the company
with beta-sites deployments.
