PROJECT SUMMARY
ULTRAVIEW develops a device enabling the combination of two
complementary imaging modalities, 2D pulse echo ultrasound
imaging and Optoacoustic imaging. The device adds functional
capabilities to the anatomical information obtained by standard
2D pulse echo ultrasound.

POTENTIAL APPLICATIONS
* Excessive angiogenesis - It occurs in diseases such as: Cancer
(breast, thyroid), retinal diabetics, rheumatoid arthritis,
psoriasis, melanoma
* Treatment monitoring- Such as: Stroke treatment, Chemotherapy
* Blood oxygenation level - It is related to: Brain function,
Tumor malignancy

TARGET MARKET
The major markets are the radiology ultrasound, neurology
ultrasound and dermatology ultrasound users. These markets
constitute about 50% of the total ultrasound market.

PROJECT STATUS
The project has completed its second year of R&D. A laboratory
prototype has been built and feasibility has been proved using
tissue equivalent phantoms.
The technology is protected under PCT and pending US patent.
