Project title: NON-INVASIVE SHALLOW MECHANICAL TISSUE CHARACTERIZATION
Company name : VESPRO LTD.
TECHNOLOGICAL FIELD
Medical devices
KEY WORDS
Tissue Characterization,
Acoustics, Mechanics, Vessels, Lesions, Bones, Lungs
PROJECT SUMMARY
The company develops a device and a method for a non-invasive
acoustic-mechanical tissue characterization. Several leading
applications such as the peripheral-vascular system, dermal and
sub-dermal lesions and other applications (i.e. osteoporosis and
pulmonary problems) are considered.
Both device and method can be adapted to a catheter-mounted,
minimally invasive version for the cardiovascular system.
ADVANTAGES
a) A novel device to relay a two-way acoustic-mechanical
transmission into the body as a monostotic measuring station.
b) An acoustic-mechanical response method, that is different from
imaging, making it possible to obtain tissue-characterization
non-invasively.
