PROJECT SUMMARY
Vortex Ecological Technologies develops systems and technologies
for cleaning air and industrial flue gases from particles and gas
pollutants. Based on its innovative technology the company has
developed an Advanced Vortex Chamber suitable for dry or wet
cleaning.
Dry cleaning is used for removal of solid particles, and is
efficient also in difficult operation conditions, such as high
temperatures, wet gases or sticky particles.
Wet cleaning is used for removal of pollutant gases and for
enhanced particle removal.

* Public utilities - Electric utilities; Chemical and paper
industries.
* Manufacturing and petroleum -Stone/Cement/Clay/Glass/lime
industries.
* Quarries - Heavy vehicles air intake pre-filtering.

ENTREPRENEURS
Dr. Yuri Mencher - Physicist, specialist in gas dynamics,
Dr. Mati Fichman - Physicist, specialist in heat and mass
transfer.

PROJECT STATUS
The project started in Feb. 1995, The company has finished the
second year of the incubation period and operates independently.
First orders have been received from major industrial companies
in Israel.
The company has completed laboratory tests of a prototype for
cleaning 5000 m3/h of gas. Three Beta-site units have been
installed on a limestone killing plant, on a coal-operated power
plant and on a steel casting plant. The company has developed a
small "Vortex" unit for pre-filtering intake air of heavy
vehicles.

the Advanced Vortex Chamber system.
