PROJECT SUMMARY
ELTAV WIRELESS MONITORING LTD. is developing Small Valve Device
(VD) externally attached to the ball valve through its standard
mating flange.
Eltav solution uses a standard wireless protocol to transmit and
receive messages.
The VD is battery operated, when battery will last for years.
Sensors detect the position of the valve without contact with the
valve pivot.
Valve position is broadcast to Valve Device Readers (VDR)
installed in the line facility.
The VDR can be connected to the site network (Ethernet) by wire
or can use its PROFIBUS output to deliver the received data to
PROFIBUS controller
A server delivers processes data to the process control computer.

MARKET
Ball valves are key elements of the process industry. About 40
million industrial ball valves sized «" to 4" were sold in 2004
($10 Billion). About 80% are manually monitored.
Some 30% of the actuated valves are not monitored. The cost of
installing wired monitoring devices is prohibitive. A typical
5,000 ball valves installation with wired monitoring setup can
cost tens of millions $ due to wiring cost. The result - most of
the valves are not monitored.

In contrast to existing, Eltav's wireless solution will cost some
3 to 5% of a wiring based solution, therefore will be affordable
for the industry. Eltav new solution will face both new and
existing install bases.

ENTREPRENEURS
Mr. Israel Radomsky - CEO, Electronic Engineer,
inventor (10 patents) with vast experience in managing high tech
companies.
Mr. Israel Kalman - CTO, extensive Wireless
Communications and RFID technology background, Projects
Management and international marketing experience.
Mr. Reuben Fuchs - VP Marketing, extensive
international marketing and sales experience especially with
RFID and defense technologies.

PROJECT STATUS
The company's R&D activities started in July 2006. Prototype is
scheduled on Feb 2007,
Beta tests on industrial site - on Sep 2008.

COOPERATION REQUIRED
Process industry instrumentation companies are welcome to
cooperate in field tests and design special applications.
System integrators are also welcome for integrating Eltav's
system with control s/w.
