PROJECT SUMMARY
SIMPLIMA develops a usage and rights management system for media
distribution over the Internet. The system handles Digital Media
in the form of text, video, music and other digital content
types.
SIMPLIMA's innovative ROC (Remote Object Control) technology
enables the content owner and subsequent distributors to control
the usage and protect their rights.
The system uses a unique offline mechanism that provides an
improved solution to the Digital Rights Management (DRM) arena.
The system consists of a Builder module installed at the content
owner and/or distributor premises, and a Controller module that
is downloaded to customers' devices.

* Generic technology that can be applied to any electronic device
(PC, PDA , Digital TV, Cellular Phone, etc)
* The system allows for wide range of usage modes (pay-per-use,
pay-per-time, pay-per-prints etc.)
* Flexibility of setting usage restrictions and payment terms by
owner / distributor per specific content.
* Unused rights can be returned and credited for.
* Ease of use - once the rights expire the content disappears
from the device - no need to return or erase it.

MARKET
SIMPLIMA is in the fast growing market of Digital Rights
Management. This market is estimated (conservatively) by IDC to
grow from $96 Million in 2000 to $3.57 Billion in 2005.
Currently there are more than 20 DRM technology vendors.

ENTREPRENEUR
Mr. Shlomo Rabinovitch - Formerly R&D manager
in IAI Elta, vast experience in leading development projects from
start to a working product including management of large groups
of developers.
The team consists of four technical experts.

PROJECT STATUS
SIMPLIMA is in its initial stage of development. It has a working
prototype, based on its Remote Object Control (ROC) technology.
An alpha version is due in Q4/2002.

COOPERATION REQUIRED
SIMPLIMA is looking for seed investment (US $100 K and upwards)
that will help enhance its development stage in order to shorten
time to market. It is also looking for strategic partners, mainly
large DRM companies and digital content providers and/or
distributors.
