PROJECT SUMMARY
TissueDetect is developing an innovative and proprietary device
that will enable to detect the transition between different types
of tissues. The first generation product is intended for
monitoring the safe, effective and rapid penetration of the
needle during the administration of regional anesthesia
(epidural). The device will measure changes in the tissue's
electrical properties during needle penetration and will enable
accurate navigation towards the epidural space. Presently, the
epidural needle location is monitored using the Loss of
Resistance LOR technique, a method that relies totally on the
physician's subjective feeling. TissueDetect's device will enable
to minimize the needle induced damage and complications
accompanying regional anesthesia.

PROJECT STATUS
