Project title: APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR COLLECTING CORD BLOOD

Company name : SITUGEN LTD.

TECHNOLOGICAL FIELD
Health Care, Medical Devices

KEY WORDS
Umbilical Cord Blood,
Stem Cell Therapy

PROJECT SUMMARY
There is a great clinical need for CBSC (Cord Blood Stem Cell)
therapy as it has been demonstrated to be superior in almost all
parameters compared to Bone Marrow Stem Cells (BMSC). Moreover,
while BMSC can be used only for treating hematological disorders,
CBSC can be applied towards the treatment of over 80 different
diseases and disorders.
SituGen - a disposable kit for CBSC collection designed to solve
the quantity problem and maximize the number of stem cells and
volume of umbilical cord blood collected. The product does not
employ a needle, hence does not create a flow bottleneck; It is
fully disinfected and sterilized, a "must" for all collection
devices.
