PROJECT SUMMARY
Proterec has developed a patented state-of-the-art recombinant
technology for the generation of synthetic enzymes of supreme
capabilities to serve as biocatalysts in key reactions of various
industrial processes.
The advantage of the technology lies in its ability to overcome
the limitations of DNA shuffling.

PROJECT STATUS
The company was established in December 2002.
It is presently well into the process of proving its superior
ability to produce improved enzymes for more efficient industrial
biocatalytic processes, through the implementation of two
separate projects for the production of variant lipases and
ligases with enhanced capabilities to perform processes needed in
the industry. Those projects are being conducted in the framework
of business collaborations with large industrial firms.
