Project title: ELECTRICAL STIMULATION AND BIOFEEDBACK DEVICES FOR TREATING FEMALE URINARY INCONTINENCE
Company name : FLEXIPROBE LTD.
TECHNOLOGICAL FIELD
Medical devices
KEY WORDS
Female Urinary Incontinence,
Pelvic Floor Musculature, Electrical Stimulation, Biofeedback,
Ambulatory Treatment
PROJECT SUMMARY
At the heart of the new device lies a proprietary vaginal probe
for the electrical stimulation of pelvic floor muscle activity.
The probe is made of a medical grade silicone rubber and is
uniquely shaped so as to provide the most efficient, comfortable
and safest electrical stimulation of the pelvic floor muscles.
The unique flexibility of the new vaginal probe ensures the most
optimal adaptation of the probe inside the vagina, and hence
considerably improves the interfacing between the probe's
electrodes and the pelvic floor muscles, thus obtaining increased
operational efficiency
Women can conveniently use FlexiProbe in the home setting,
without the immediate supervision of a medical practitioner. This
allows for an exceptional freedom of movement using FlexiProbe at
home, or even at work.
There will be a range of devices for use in the clinic and at
home.
Each product unit will consist of two parts: A compact and
sophisticated control unit and a disposable flexible probe
(FlexiProbe). The probes will be engineered to have a limited
time of use, after which they will have to be replaced.
The strategic competitive advantages of the FlexiProbe device are
its performance, convenience and cost.

PROJECT STATUS
The company was founded in February 2002.
A working prototype has been completed. Double blind placebo
control clinical studies have been concluded in September 2003
and have yielded highly significant successful results in the
treatment of female urinary stress incontinence using the
company's device.
The company is now engaged in business development activities
aiming at either securing funds or reaching an agreement with a
strategic partner for the manufacturing and marketing of its
device.
COOPERATION REQUIRED
The company is seeking venture capital or a strategic alliance
for extending its manufacturing and marketing efforts.
