PROJECT SUMMARY
Urinary incontinence is a major healthcare problem that affects
all ages, both sexes and people of every social and economic
level. Just in the USA over 12 million people have some problem
controlling urination and often leading patients to quiet
desperation and social isolation. Children bedwetting (nocturnal
enuresis) problem adds to these figures about 15% of five year
olds to 3% of 15 year olds.

SENSETECH UROLOGY LTD. has developed SenseUrine, an innovative
non-invasive, passive, compact, easy to use and inexpensive
wearable device for managing and treating overactive bladder and
incontinence.

The device will tell the patient when it is time to go to the
toilet (preset urine volume), before urine leakage occurs
(pre-wetting alarm), and will serve as a behavioral treatment
modality (bladder retraining). By using a SenseUrine the
incontinence will be adequately managed so that bladder control
problems need not interfere with a healthy, productive and active
lifestyle.

The SenseUrine is based on a novel technology for sensing and
measuring heat flow and heat conductivity (patent pending). The
core of the SenseUrine is a sensor with a unique configuration
hat allows measuring the heat conductivity of the bladder, and
thus the urine volume.

Following the SenseUrine, the core technology will be implemented
into other medical applications and general applications.

PROJECT STATUS
The project started its incubator period in June 2006.
Feasibility study of prototype sensor is planned to November
2006. Clinical trials are planned to June 2007. Production of
zero series is planned to November 2007.
