PROJECT SUMMARY
One of the most serious of the iatrogenic problems in
orthodontics today is the relatively high incidence of enamel
damage, due to carious lesions. Studies have shown that
re-mineralization of demineralized enamel is a realizable goal.
The present system is innovative and unique in that it places the
re-mineralization materials within the oral environment. The
material is thus made available for slow release directly into
the saliva, by day and by night.

Main ADVANTAGES:
Re-mineralization is encouraged at the very earliest initiation
of the carious lesion - even before it is clinically diagnosable.

PROJECT STATUS
The project has started its incubator period in 2004. Formulation
studies under way, soon to be clinically tested.
