Project title: NEURAL NETWORK PROCESSOR FOR CARDIAC PACEMAKERS
Company name : AI SEMI LTD.
TECHNOLOGICAL FIELD
Medical Devices
KEY WORDS
Congestive Heart Failure
(CHF), Cardiac Resynchronization Therapy (CRT), Atrioventricular
(AV) Delay, Interventricular (IV) Interval
PROJECT SUMMARY
AI SEMI develops a co-processor for implanted adaptive cardiac
resynchronization Therapy (CRT) device, based on it's patented
spiking neural network processor. The adaptive CRT device will
optimize online and continuously the atrioventricular (AV) delay
and interventricular (VV) interval for biventricular pacemakers
and defibrillators. In addition, AI SEMI develops an
optimization device for implanted CRT devices where the learning
module, the spiking neural network processor will optimize the
implanted CRT device from the external device that will be used
in hospitals and cardiac rehabilitation centers.
AI SEMI adaptive CRT device is expected to significantly improve
three major difficulties in current CRT devices:
1. Programming the CRT device,
2. Delivering Consistent CRT pacing and
3. Simplified follow-up procedure.
The expected end point result is a better hemodynamic performance
for CHF patients that will improve their quality of life. The
spiking neural network processor will have extremely low power
dissipation, which is critical for implanted cardiac pacemakers
devices.
