PROJECT SUMMARY
Oxygen therapy is one of the main therapy resources which is used
for treatment of different kind of diseases such as: lung
diseases, asthma, heart diseases leading to hypoxemia of the
heart and lungs, hypo perfusion of the brain and for cancer and
geriatric patients.

Patients on homecare use Oxygen Concentrators as a source of
reliable oxygen provision. However, oxygen therapy requires a
very careful approach, since a lower percentage of oxygen than
the required one does not improve patient condition and an over
dosage might be harmful.

The percentage of oxygen in the blood is measured by Oximeters.

Today, control of oxygen administration is done manually. While
at hospitals it requires additional manpower, in homecare use of
oxygen control is infrequent, which can have adverse influences
on the patients' medical condition.

The project aims to develop an automatic dosage system for
hospital and homecare applications

The project is in the first year of development. A first
prototype has already been manufactured.
