PROJECT SUMMARY
AVMAT developed a new technology and a set of modular equipment
based on a standard power unit, allowing to manufacture complex
shape, high precision, metal tubular fittings from standard
pipes, in one step, using fluid pressure. A radial deformation of
up to 70% with respect to the initial diameter of the blank will
be obtained. Productivity, precision and surface quality will be
enhanced. Scrap and energy consumption will be held to a minimum.

Possible applications are in the Food and Chemical Industries,
Vehicle Industries, Aviation, Pharmaceutics, Microelectronics,
Electrical Cable Industry etc.

TECHNOLOGY
Production of complex shape, high precision, metal tubular
products is carried out by using the Cold Hydroforming Method.
Radial deformation of a blank made of a standard metal pipe is
obtained by using high fluid pressure inside the blank, placed in
a complex shaped mould. Copper, Steel, Stainless Steel, Titanium
and other metals can be used as blanks.

PROJECT STATUS
The project has finished the incubator period.
A machine capable of producing fittings of up to 2" diameter has
been developed and manufactured.
Samples of T-shaped fittings and reducers have been produced.

An investment for the establishment of a production facility is
sought.
Strategic alliances with pipe and tubular product manufacturers
for applications in the car, pharmaceutical, microelectronic and
