Project title: SAFETY AND TWO-WAY COMMUNICATION DEVICE FOR DIVERS

Company name : *** AQUA-ACOUSTIC LTD.

TECHNOLOGICAL FIELD
Ultrasonic Communication

KEY WORDS
Ultrasonic Communication, Diver Safety,
Electro-acoustical Transducers

PROJECT SUMMARY
The project is concerned with the development of ultrasonic
communication equipment for divers. The increasing number of
people enjoying underwater sport and sealife tourism activity
brings about the need to look after the individual diver's
safety.
The "DIVEGUARD" is a two-way personal communication and distress
signal call unit, for use by divers at ranges of up to 300
meters. The system is intended for use either by the deep water
SCUBA (Self-Contained Underwater Breathing Apparatus) divers or
by shallow water swimmers.
DIVEGUARD transmits ultrasonic signals by a special designed
ceramic transducer controlled by a microprocessor to generate
high reliable coded signals.
DIVEGUARD detects the person calling and helps to locate him by
range and direction with respect to a rescue diver or station.
