PROJECT SUMMARY
Sewage sludge disposal is causing serious worldwide environmental
problems. Expensive landfill and ocean dumping are contaminating
underground water reservoirs and irrevocably harming the sea
world. Turning sludge into compost causes the pathogens and heavy
metals in the sludge to pollute the very land it is fertilizing.
Incineration emits hazardous gases.

Stricter global legislation for municipal wastewater treatment
plants (WTP) on sludge disposal has created the urgent need for
more sophisticated, environmentally friendly treatment systems.

BIOPETROL's technology enables a breakthrough process for
producing usable synthetic crude oil from sewage sludge.

The company is developing a catalyst, which synthesizes two
different systems, resulting in a higher production of fuel oil.
The end result is the on-site reduction of dry sludge volume from
100% to 5%.
BIOPETROL Ltd. will give WTP's for the first time, an
environmentally sound and cost-effective sludge conversion
system.

equipment rising from $1.36 billion in 2000 to $2.05 billion by
the end of the forecast period in 2007."
Wastewater treatment plants throughout the world will benefit
from BioPetrol's system.
