Project title: WATER PURIFICATION FROM ORGANIC AND INORGANIC POLLUTANT

Company name : EN GIBTON LTD.

TECHNOLOGICAL FIELD
Water and wastewater organic and
inorganic pollutant removal technology

KEY WORDS
Water and Wastewater
Treatment, Advanced Water Purification, Organic and inorganic
Pollutant Removal, Perchlorate, ClayMix

PROJECT SUMMARY
EN GIBTON LTD. is a water treatment company that develops the
ClayMix , novel adsorption-filtration systems for removing
organic and inorganic pollutants from ground water, surface water
and wastewater.
The ClayMix treatment system is based on a patented technology of
Micelle and Organo-clay compounds mixed with Sand clay, creating
a multi-layered granular mixture. Dissolved contaminant
molecules, anionic, neutral and some cationic, are adsorbed into
the ClayMix and removed from the water during filtration or
settling processes. The adsorption- filtration and adsorption-
settling applications are designed differently as two market
products.
The inorganic application adsorbs: Perchlorate, Selenium,
Cyanides and other inorganic contaminants in the PPM and PPB
range.
The organic application adsorbs: MTBE, TCE, micro-organisms,
pesticides and other TOCs in the PPM and PPB range.

ADVANTAGES
The novel system that can be used as a replacement for activated
carbon filters. The system can be tailored to work with special
pollutants (non-ionic, anionic and cationic chemicals and
pesticides) such as: Perchlorate, Cyanides, deteragents,
herbicides and pharmaceutical residues.

TARGET MARKET
Penetration of fuel additives, industrial solvents, herbicides,
agrochemicals and antibiotics into ground- and surface water,
pose a grave threat to the environment and constitute a real
economic and health issue. Strict government regulation cause
industries and water utilities to seek new and better treatment
solutions and the adoption of Best technologies economically
viable. The world market for water treatment products is
estimated at USD 6 billion, with a yearly growth of 9%.

ENTREPRENEURS
Prof. S. Nir - Biophysicist with expertise in
membranes, clay and its complexes with monomers and micelles of
organic cations, adsorption/desorption and modeling.
Prof. B. Rubin - Plant scientist expert in

PROJECT STATUS
EN GIBTON was established in January 2006, and is a part of ATI's
(part of Biomedix Incubator Ltd) Cleantech Group. The company
successfully completed a pilot operation and testing for removal
of perchlorate from a water-well. The pilot was the first of
several projects in cooperation with the Israel Water Authority.
EN GIBTON is developing new applications in cooperation with the
Israel water company Mekorot and with several Israeli water and
wastewater purification companies.
