PROJECT SUMMARY
Indwelling devices in the human body have a tendency to become
infected. The source of these infections is the Biofilm, a
deposit of proteins and cell particles that coats the catheter
and provides an ideal breeding ground for germs and fungi. BioXim
develops a mechanical solution that will enable the removal of
biofilm while the catheter remains within the vessel.
