PROJECT SUMMARY
Imagine that all things around you are interactive. Imagine that
by pointing the mobile camera to an object you will get all the
neat digital stuff that is related to the object.
LINK-IT's interface is the only tool for web browsing when
looking for an object that looks similar to an example object.

Due to PC web browsing habits mobile web browsing is done by text
boxes, menus etc. This is done by using the phone's joystick and
keypad which are the equivalents of the mouse and keyboard of the
PC. Primly designed for the PC, these tools can be efficient when
browsing the PC, but when it comes to mobile use, the lengthy key
tapping and the endless menus prevent users from getting focused
and accurate information.

LINK-IT's technology enables browsing the web by simply taking a
photo using the mobile phone's camera. Link-it's technology
identifies the photographed subject, then, accurately retrieves
relevant and focused information from the web.

LINK-IT recognition and matching algorithms were designed from
day-one to be robust to changes in: 2D/3D viewpoint, lighting,
defocus, distances, resolutions and compression-techniques. This
algorithm's statistical approach ensures not only robustness, but
also quick identification even in very large scale
image-databases.

LINK-IT does not invent the need for mobile internet - it is
already a growing market
LINK-IT would like to be the gate to the mobile Internet for
every mobile user.

ENTREPRENEURS
Mr. Adi Pinhas -
Formerly a co-founder and VP R&D of Vigilant Technology, led a
strategic research team in Intel, held research positions in
Comverse Technology, National Semiconductors and RAFAEL. M.Sc. in
the field of content based image retrieval, at the medical image
processing lab in Tel-Aviv University.
Mr. Michael Chertok - Experienced
in the field of image processing and machine vision. Formerly led
the Digital Signal Processing (DSP) team in Vigilant Technology
and held research positions in CEVA and Motorola Semiconductors.
Mr. Gideon Mantel - Chairman of
the Board, formerly founder and CEO of Commtouch

PROJECT STATUS
- LINK-IT is working with six large and international companies
to define and develop the first beta sites.
- LINK-IT filed several strong patents
- LINK-IT demonstrates today an exact identification of known
objects (as apparel, electronics, outdoor or faces) in real-life
images. Link-it algorithms also find similar objects to the query
object (e.g. find similar shoe to this one).

COOPERATION REQUIRED
- Cooperation with mobile operators
- Cooperation with researchers and universities in the relevant
fields.
