PROJECT SUMMARY
AEBi is a development-stage biopharmaceutical company engaged in
the discovery and development of therapeutic proteins. AEBi's
business is based on a core, next generation, proprietary
combinatorial biology, HT screening platform technologies.
Operating in the fast growing, newly emerging, functional genomic
field, AEBi's core technology is positioned to be one of the
leading biotechnology tools for drug discovery. This technology
will significantly accelerate the drug discovery R&D phase and
reduce attrition rate of new drug candidates. The ability of
reducing development time for new peptide-based drugs holds a
huge economic value to the Biotech and Pharma industry. It is
generally estimated that every day lost in getting a drug to
market costs the company $1.4 million. Based on this inherent
value of its technology, AEBi will develop its business initially
through sales of the system and R&D cooperation with Biotech and

The Technology
A revolutionary combinatorial biology system, which is performed
in solution (no solid support needed). This media simulates more
accurately the natural environment of a bimolecular interaction.
It can also detect transient interactions and may have as an
intrinsic part of the process a functional oriented selection for
best agonist/antagonist/inhibitor. Our technology can be used for
a diversity of drug discovery programs, exploiting the
characteristics of combinatorial biology to discover new and
better lead compounds and diagnostic tools for almost any
disease. AEBi's proprietary technology (named "SoAP") overcomes
most of the major obstacles existing in present generation of
combinatorial biology High Throughput Screening systems used
today by almost any Biotech or Pharma company in the world, as
well in many academic research laboratories.
In today's combinatorial biology systems researchers probably
lose some of the best molecules they are searching for. The
majority of billions of molecules screened in combinatorial
biology systems today are lost in the competition to non-specific
binders, to deletion mutants, to strong binders that don't have
the desired function or just because of poor infection. SoAP can
screen for molecules never screened for before!
