PROJECT SUMMARY
Development of a disposable electronic device for detecting and
indicating a situation where an intravenous or arterial cannula
entered a blood conducting vein or artery.
The indication is made immediately after penetration and the
device can indicate when the needle punctures the second wall of
the vessel, thus the developed device can prevent improper
administration of medication, hemorrhaging, collapse of vein or
artery, or other similar complications.
This device, which has very small dimensions, is to be connected
to the back of the needle and it will make the insertion
procedure easier and safer.

Mr. Eli Matalon - initiator and project leader, MBA., B.Sc. in
industrial engineering.

PROJECT STATUS
The project started in May 1996. The company completed its
incubation period. The product is in production and is being
marketed.

COOPERATION REQUIRED
Strategic partners will be considered for production, marketing
and further R&D.
