PROJECT SUMMARY
JetGuide's proprietary technology is used with existing drilling
equipment to provide the surgeons with real-time monitoring and
feedback in order to prevent injury to a sensitive tissue in a
narrow cone along the drilling path. These cases are met during
surgeries like dental implantation, orthopedic (like hip,
shoulder), spine, neurology ENT, plastic and other surgeries
related to bones.

The company's technology provides the residual distance between
the bottom of the drilled bore and the upper part of a sensitive
tissue (like nerve, blood vessel and cartilage) and also provides
the depth of the drilled bore. This information is provided in
real time to the surgeon throughout the surgical procedure.

JetGuide technology is a platform for a series of products in the
dental, orthopedic, spine, neurology and other surgery sectors
related to bones. The estimated market potential for the dental
and orthopedic sectors alone is US $3.5 billion.

PROJECT STATUS
The project started its incubator period in September 2005. The
third autonomous prototype of the ultrasonic system was developed
and tested against phantoms, several types of animal mandibles
and other types of fresh animal bones. The results were found in
good agreement with other measuring methods (mechanical and
optical).
