PROJECT SUMMARY
PBC LASERS LTD. is commercializing its new patented Photonic Band
Crystal Lasers technology that markedly expands the scope of
performance of existing laser solutions in a wide range of
optical systems applications, focusing on RGB Laser modules for
display systems, and high-power laser diode applications, by
enabling an order of
magnitude increase in the diode laser's output power and reducing
the $/W value.
PBC LASERS LTD. has introduced a new semiconductor laser
technology - the PBC
(Photonic Band Crystal) Laser. The PBC concept allows arbitrary
high single-mode
output power and arbitrary low beam divergence of the device in
vertical and/or lateral
direction, bridging the gap between LD and gas or solid state
lasers. The PBC Laser can be implemented as an Edge Emitter, a
Surface Emitter or an Array of Emitters. It combines
manufacturability with excellent optical performance, defined by
diffraction-limited ultra narrow beam quality, high output power
and compatibility to standard wavelength-stabilization schemes.

PROJECT STATUS
PBC Lasers has completed the incubator period. The company has
