PROJECT SUMMARY
Proprietary technologies for diffusion coatings of steel and hard
metals based on Self-Propagating Synthesis have been developed.

Low cost coatings are obtained such as Borides, Chrome Carbide,
Vanadium Carbide and Carbonitrides.

These coatings significantly increase the hardness of the
external layer of mechanical products and components, providing
protection against wear and corrosion.

sciences,
Dr. Yuri Pressman - specialist in metal treatment.

PROJECT STATUS
The project completed its incubation period in 1998.
A commercial coating unit started to operate in the last quarter
of 1998.
Commercial coating services for a variety of applications - dies
for turbine blades, cutting and machining tools, bores of guns,
etc. are provided to the Israeli and to the US industry.
A US subsidiary was established in 1999.
