PROJECT SUMMARY
A proprietary thin films technology for protection coatings has
been developed.
This technology is based on high voltage ion sputtering, which
enables the achievement of very hard protection coatings at low
temperatures of the substrate.
A variety of substrates, from plastics to metals, can be coated,
usually by ceramics, such as Alumna, Silica and other oxides and
nitrides. Typical applications are coatings of mechanical parts
in clean rooms for reducing contamination; coatings of cutting
and machining tools for reducing wear and preventing corrosion
and coating of precision components.

science.

PROJECT STATUS
The company left the incubator in August 1995.
Coating services are provided on a commercial basis. Sales
turnover in 2000 was US $200,000.

COOPERATION:
KLA-TENCOR, Microswiss, Rafael.

REQUIRED INVESTMENT: US $ 300,000 to complete development of
several application products and expand marketing.

COOPERATION REQUIRED
Strategic partnership with potential customers, to jointly
develop applications.
