PROJECT SUMMARY
Development of new type of LDPE thin with optical filter
properties for agricultural applications.
The project includes: development of a chemical formulation of
raw material, including fillers and optical additives to improve
mechanical, physical and producibility properties; development of
thin film processing methods based on existing extrusion
technologies; research in the field of solar radiation influence
on the protected plants and their producibility.

Small quantities of additive materials used in LDPE film
processing may dramatically change the final product properties:
double the product useful life time, increase the extrusion line
producibility, improve optical properties of the film in such a
way that the film will operate as an optical filter for different
wave lengths of solar radiation.

MARKET
Many large worldwide companies are currently involved in the
business of LDPE thin film manufacturing, especially for
agricultural applications. Materials that will offer
producibility, improved properties and cost effective benefits
have a good opportunity to penetrate the market of a billion
dollar business.

ENTREPRENEUR
Dr. Edward Barmachenko - Ph.D. in Chemical
Processing, wide experience in the field LDPE products, row
materials and processing.

PROJECT STATUS
The project is on its first year of the incubator period.
Analysis of world market are available. Additives and research of
newest developments in the field completed. Laboratory extrusion
processing line currently established.
Cooperation and partial financing agreement with one of the
leading companies in the field in Israel signed.

COOPERATION REQUIRED
The company is looking for additional strategical partners in the
world market - USA, Europe.
