Project title: MULTIPON
Company name : MULTIPON
TECHNOLOGICAL FIELD
Optical communication - ultra high data
rate for FTTx and SAN markets
KEY WORDS
FTTx, SAN, 10GEPON, PON,
Optical communication, Transceiver
PROJECT SUMMARY
MultiPON has developed proprietary technology that enables ultra
high data rate in FTTx and SAN markets.
MultiPON technology increases the data rates and the number of
users by factor up to x10, using existing infrastructures and low
cost existing components.
MultiPON products are:
* Semiconductor chips for ultra high data rate Transceivers.
* Opto -Transceiver (XFP,SFP+) for ultra high data rate
APPLICATIONS
The Emerge of the triple play communication (telephone, broadband
Internet, IPTV, HDTV and on demand television) and interactive
gaming opens a huge market for ultra high broadband solutions.
Major carriers like NTT, China Telecom, KT, Verizon and AT&T are
interested in developing cost effective methods increasing data
rates to support these high bandwidth applications
Using MultiPON solution will enable cost effective and short Time
to market to the emerging 10Gb FTTx market.
ADVANTAGES
* Passing 10G data rates using 2.5G optics
* Reducing 10G ONT and OLT costs by factor x10, making it on the
same level as 2.5G ONT and OLT costs.
