PROJECT SUMMARY
The Product - An installation for continuous production of
ice-solution suspension, which includes Fluid Ice Generator to
generate micro-crystals of ice in gel-like suspension that can be
used as coolant in different fields or directly as a component in
another technology.

The specially designed Fluid Ice Generator acts on any solution
or beverage at below-zero cryoscopic temperatures (32øF)
utilizing the turbulent and centrifugal forces in order to
promote the formation of a fluid suspension of microscopic
crystals of ice and to prevent congestion from adhesion of ice
resulting from the presence and build-up of ice inside the Ice
Generator.
The system is the only one able to produce Fluid Ice continuously
without any warming or washing requirement.

ADVANTAGES
Fluid Ice System (FIS) reduces operating costs and improves the
quality of treated food products or processes; it cools better
and quicker and prevents any damage to the cooled surface. FIS
saves energy; it requires 15-40% less energy than competitive
systems. FIS is more compact and light compared with similar
systems. Consequently, it can be easily moved and integrated
onto mobile platforms (trucks, boats etc.), and requires less
maintenance, rendering it more cost-effective.

Main industrial APPLICATIONS
* Food Market: Immersion cooling of slaughtered chicken and
parts, fish and seafood during processing in plants and boats;
cooling and icing of soft drinks; cooling protection during
post-harvest, packaging or chilling.
* Air Conditioning & Refrigeration. Direct contact cooling: Fluid
Ice has a longer, deeper, more uniform cooling impact than flake
ice. Fluid Ice flows through pipes and so can be used for
refrigeration or air conditioning
* Medical Applications - Ice Therapy.
* Water Desalinization and Purification: The crystal-clear
process combined with centrifugal forces in the ice generator
separates salt from water, thus, providing fishing vessels with a
supplementary source of potable water.

ENTREPRENEUR
Mr. Semyon Etlender, Manager of FIS, mechanical engineer
specializing in refrigeration and air conditioning systems, has
extensive experience in R&D, manufacturing and business
promotion.

PROJECT STATUS
The project was launched on January 2000.
Fluid Ice Systems Ltd. has developed three FIS prototypes with
output of pure ice 0.12 MT/Day, 1 MT/Day, 10 MT/Day and
successfully endured industrial tests in bakery and meat plant
and in supermarket refrigerating system. The company is in
negotiation about order of FIS for these plants. Fluid Ice
Systems Ltd. is the member of International Association of Food
Industry Suppliers and took part in Worldwide Food Expo in
Chicago in October 2001.
A patent was filed in August 1999 in Israel and is now being
filed in Europe and the USA.
