PROJECT SUMMARY
NanoPowders Industries (NPI) has developed a completely novel
process to produce precious powders and flakes for a wide range
of industries including electronics, battery, catalyst. NPI
manufactures innovative products that are price-competitive and
environmentally-friendly. In addition, NPI has developed a
de-agglomerating process that is being applied to other metals
and powders.
The techniques used on the chemical process are unique in the
field and have been patented in several countries.

ADVANTAGES
The average particle size is of the order of 0.05 microns, which
is at least 20 times smaller than the average particle size of
the silver powders currently available on the market. NPI is
producing a variety of sub-micron alloys such as silver/palladium
of different compositions, having high purity. NPI is currently
developing an ultrafine nickel powder for RFI shielding and
capacitor applications.

APPLICATIONS
The main applications for NanoPowders are:
Conductive adhesives, Display Devices, PZT, Ferrites, Ceramic
Capacitors, Resonators, Resistors, MLC Termination, MLC Inner
Electrode, CR Edge Termination, PTC Thermistors, Printed Wiring
Boards, Conductive Adhesives for Ferrites, Resistors, Batteries,
Industrial Catalysts, Anti Bacterial Treatment.

PROJECT STATUS
As a graduated company of the Maayan incuvbator NanoPowders
Industries (NPI) has more then 6 years of expertise in its field,
and was acquired by Cima NanoTech a division of Aveka Inc.
(itself a spin-off of 3M).
NPI has recently set up in Kfar Saba (Center of Israel) a pilot
plant of a 30 tons/year capacity.
