PROJECT SUMMARY
The ventilator is based on an innovative electronic valve,
controlled by flow and respiration-pressure sensors. It is
designed for operation by non-professionals in emergencies,
either in the automatic or in the manual mode.
It is light, conveniently portable, safe, reliable and
inexpensive.
At least two oxygen concentrations can be selected: 100% and 45%.
APPLICATIONS
* Resuscitation of various trauma casualties.
* Transport ventilation, non-hospital and hospital use.
* Ventilation of gas attack victims and of battle wounded.
* Home care for a wide range of patients.
MARKET
Target market segments include emergency medical services, public
and business organizations (the ventilator is expected to become
part of first aid kits), hospitals, households with heart or
breath disease patients, armed forces,
police and rescue teams.

PROJECT STATUS
Since August 1996 VERSAMED Ltd. operates independently as a
start-up company.
The second prototype has been built and tested during 1996.
During 1997, more advanced prototypes were developed and tested
successfully with large number of patients in 4 Hospitals.
Applications for listing by the FDA have been registered.
The investors have applied for patents in Israel and overseas.
COOPERATION REQUIRED
A strategic partner/investor is sought, who can provide support
in the transfer from the development stage to commercialization.
Expertise and capabilities in marketing and/or production are
sought.
